Turn Off That Flash
Some of the best pictures can be
taken without your flash.
Most point-and-shoot cameras have
a flash-off mode. It typically looks like a flash of lightning with a
line drawn through it.

Try experimenting with this mode
when your subject is in the shade or when it's overcast. You'll be
surprised at the results.
Try this mode when you're inside
as well. Set your camera to 400 or 800 ISO under florescent lighting
in classrooms for a more natural look.
Want to save your battery life?
Turn off your flash when you're at a sporting event and taking
pictures from the stands. Your flash only carries 10-15 ft. so it's
not affecting your subject on the field.
Have fun!
